About the role:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at CQ Health reports to the Health Service Chief Executive (HSCE) and is responsible for providing strategic leadership and managing the daily operations of clinical and clinical support services. This role involves aligning operations with “Destination 2030,” the Clinical Services Plan, and the Health Equity Strategy.

• Deputising for HSCE

The COO is accountable for outcomes in clinical and operational performance, consumer and community engagement, service level agreement KPIs, patient safety and quality, and workforce productivity and financial performance.

The COO leads a team of General Managers and Service Directors across various facilities, including those in Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Mount Morgan, Gladstone, Banana, Emerald, Central Highlands, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Aged Care and Rehabilitation, and Offender Health.
The COO is responsible for a budget of $445m with a total of 3,003 FTE across the clinical divisions and other support services.

About you:
• Proven superior strategic leadership and business capability at an executive level in a large and complex organisation.
• Proven track record in developing, implementing, and evaluating practical, innovative, and value-for-money business models and solutions that enhance performance and improve patient and consumer outcomes.
• Demonstrated high level management skills and knowledge, including in the areas of planning, performance monitoring and improvement, resource and budget management in a demanding high- pressure
• Demonstrated executive level experience in fostering cohesive services and multidisciplinary teams that value performance, improvement, collaboration and
• Demonstrated executive-level communication, negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills, with proven experience in developing high-level communication and consultation strategies for diverse stakeholders, including government, professional, academic, and community groups.

What we offer:
Total remuneration value of $290,649 p.a. is comprised of:
• An fortnightly salary of $8,597.00 p.f.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution

The Loddon Mallee Local Health Service Network (LMLHSN) is one of six rural collaborations in Victoria and is comprised of public health services and hospitals in the Loddon Mallee region. The LMLHSN has been formed to establish a more systematic and integrated approach to delivering health and hospital services across the member organisations. This is a senior leadership position that will suit professionals with experience of successfully leading an integrated program across health services or like public sector organisations.

The Executive Director is accountable to all organisations in the LMLHSN and must act in a neutral and impartial manner and represent the collective interests of all members. The Executive Director LMLHSN will facilitate and lead initiatives through fostering current collaborations to enable the LMLHSN to achieve its’ goals as well as enhancing collaboration across the region to deliver integrated health care services. This role will manage partnership associated risks, issues and scope within the LMLHSN Governance Structure ensuring appropriate reporting, escalation and approvals. They will have accountability for the LMLHSN budget, procurement and management of all contracts in accordance with the instrument of delegation.

To be considered your past success with working at an Executive level on large-scale transformational projects will be supported by formal tertiary qualifications. You will also be able to demonstrate people management, program and project management skills and experience including program design, implementation, reporting and evaluation as well as financial management to ensure high quality deliverables.
