To be eligible for a Management Internship, applicants must a) hold a relevant undergraduate qualification (such as health related or business related) or b) have significant work experience in a health related field and be willing to undertake study for a Graduate Certificate at University (with support).

Applicants with a post-graduate qualification in a relevant health field need to stipulate the degree (ie. health science, health service management, health management, health administration or international health management).

6. Selection Criteria.

Answers should be written and edited by you personally, and concise (no more than 250 words per criterion)
Demonstrated interest in and desire to be working towards a career in health service management.
Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
Ability to exercise a high degree of professional independence and willingness to work with supervision.
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem solving skills to undertake complex tasks.
Demonstrated competence in the use of computers (including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point) and the proven ability to learn and adapt to new systems and new technologies.

2022 Health Management Internship Program Application Form (NSW)

PLEASE NOTE that the application process is highly competitive with many more high calibre applicants than we have places for. Stage 2 of the selection process involves online testing, and stage 3, a compulsory assessment session held on August 19 in Sydney CBD. Applicants selected to progress to Stage 4 will then be interviewed by the employing organisation's August 29 - Sept 2. Applicants are notified at the end of each stage if they are progressing or not progressing to the next stage. All placements are finalised by Sept 9. Please refer to the detailed timeline on the application information web page for further details.
