Applications for the 2024 intake are now closed.

The ACHSM NSW Health Management Internship Program (HMIP) offers committed, high-potential Interns the opportunity to develop the skills, capabilities and knowledge required to start a career in managing the challenges and complexities of health service delivery across NSW. The program includes:

  1. Employment in a NSW Health organisation, gaining skills and knowledge through supervised structured workplace experience.
  2. An industry-recognised postgraduate academic qualification in Health Administration.
  3. Professional development activities which offer Interns the opportunity to prepare themselves for a career managing the challenges and complexities of health service delivery across NSW in public, private and not for profit organisations.

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for this program, applicants must:

  1. Provide proof of Australian Citizenship, permanent Australian residency status or have permanent full work rights until the end of 2025 at the time of application.
  2. Hold a relevant undergraduate qualification and/or postgraduate qualification, and a minimum of three years' work experience is strongly preferred .
  3. Agree to undergo all required pre-employment health screening and checks, which includes but may not be limited to Working with Children Check, Police Check, Aged Care Check, National Criminal Record Check, and Health Checks including COVID vaccinations required by placement organisations.
