ACHSM QLD invite you to attend this half day workshop event, Interpreting the new healthcare standards in 2019, are you ready? This exclusive workshop will share information on ways of interpreting the new healthcare standards; types of evidence to justify compliance; and contemporary ways to review systems. 

What are the key offerings?
Focussed on the new healthcare standards; interpretation for compliance; system review and evaluation methodologies.

Who should attend?
Quality Managers; Risk and Safety Managers; staff engaged in the process of managing and developing quality, risk and safety programmes in health organisations. Individuals as well as teams are encouraged to participate in this intensive and hands-on workshop.

This workshop is a great, locally available, low-cost, ongoing learning opportunity that will equip participants with the knowledge, tools and translation methodologies to confidently and accurately interpret and respond to the changing standards.

About the facilitators:

Branch Councillor Director and Queensland Branch President
Appointed to the Board in 2016.  Mark Avery is an academic and the Program Director for Health Services Management at the Griffith University.  His research and consultancy interest areas include leadership and management in health services; patient safety and quality care; community information in health services.  Mark has over 30 years experience in senior leadership, management and corporate roles in both the public and private health care sectors in Australia and the United Kingdom. His career and experience has been at senior executive, chief executive, consultant, board director levels in hospitals, community health and regulation. Mark has been a member of the College for some 40 years and in that time has been member of three State and Territory Branches.
