NSW Branch Leadership Recognition Awards 2023/24

The 2023/24 Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM) NSW Branch Leadership Recognition Awards are now closed. Thank you to all that participated in the nomination process.

The ACHSM has a proud 75-year history of cultivating managers and leaders in health. ACHSM is the peak membership, advocacy and professional learning organisation for leaders of health, aged care and social services in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and surrounding nations.

This year the NSW Branch Leadership Recognition Awards offer the opportunity to celebrate health managers and leaders across NSW who everyday play important roles in shaping the risk and safety culture of their team and/or organisation.

The ACHSM Health Management and Leadership Competency Framework identifies Risk Management and Clinical Governance as an action competency relevant to the direct work of health managers and leaders.

If you know of a health manager or leader who works in NSW and has demonstrated commitment to:

•    incorporating the principles of high reliability, continuous quality improvement, and user-centered design into organisational processes; or
•    good risk management practice across areas of responsibility; or
•    developing a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement

Leadership Recognition Awards eligibility criteria include:

•    The person nominated must work and reside in NSW
•    The person nominated must have shown outstanding management and leadership with a specific focus on risk management and clinical governance in 2023/24
•    The person nominated does not have to be an ACHSM member

There will be no single winner of the ACHSM NSW Branch Leadership Recognition Award. ALL nominated Health Managers who meet the above criteria, will be publicly recognised at an Awards breakfast event on Wednesday 3rd April 2024 in Sydney.

Nominations closed on Friday 1st March. If you have any questions, contact NSW Executive Officer, Alison Fellows, at alison.fellows@achsm.org.au.

Nominations are now closed.
