Emerging Health Managers (EHM) - Special Interest Group
The field of health services management is a highly complex and rapidly evolving area. For people aspiring to pursue a career or advance their position in the area of health management, this can be a daunting task. To assist them in reaching their goals, the College has established this Special Interest Group.
Purpose of EHM
EHM is a special interest group of the Australasian College of Health Services Management (ACHSM) and is based in Victoria. It provides professional development and peer networking opportunities for professionals pursuing a career in health management. EHM events are held throughout the year and are designed to meet the professional development and networking needs of emerging health managers and students. Programs include:
The EHM Committee coordinates activities designed for emerging health managers to meet, provide and obtain peer support to grow professionally within the health sector.
Who Can Attend the Events?
Current students or industry professionals working in either traditional health care environments, such as hospitals, or non-traditional environments such as community health centres, public health departments, health insurance companies, health associations, consulting firms, etc.

EHM Committee
The role of the EHM Committee is to coordinate professional development and networking opportunities for emerging health managers. It also provides a voice for potential health leaders of the future. It is currently led by two Co-Chairs and comprises a group of dedicated members.
