Continuing Professional Development

All members are required to meet the College's CPD guidelines which includes attaining 25 CPD points in each membership year (April to March). Continuing professional development ensures that all health managers of ACHSM are committed to keep up to date with new ideas, continue their learning, contribute to the industry, and potentially undertake further study or research.

CPD points can be attained for participating in a wide range of activities including attending seminars and conferences, completing e-learning modules, contributing to college activities such as writing a submission, being part of a special interest group, or undertaking further study.  You can log your CPD points on a log sheet which is submitted at the time of your membership renewal, or you can enter and log your CPD points online by clicking the CPD log link on the right panel of this page.

By meeting these industry requirements you are entitled to use the post nominals CHM (Certified Health Manager). This certification is acknowledged by employers and industry groups as a recognition of a commitment to excellence in health service management.
