Candidates are also required to collect information on current issues in health and aged care management, major policy publications and significant developments in the industry during the year. This will include, but not be limited to:

  • Recent Commonwealth Government Reports on Health and Aged Care Services
  • State, Territory and Commonwealth Government Health and Aged Care Policy Documents
  • ACHSM Reports
  • Media releases and articles

At the time of examination there will be contemporary policy documents, professional journal articles and other material that will be important contextually, from either an individual State and Territory or National policy perspective. Candidates should be prepared to comment on recent major health and aged care policy and service developments. Particular references will be the College's Journal, Asia Pacific Journal of Health Management, as well as Australian Health Review published bythe Australian Healthcare & Hospitals Association.
