The following criteria are essential for eligibility to undertake the Fellowship program. Depending on the length of ACHSM membership, different points are awarded as part of the scoring system for eligibility:
Membership:
You must have completed an accredited or approved degree, diploma or post-graduate qualification. A list of courses accredited by ACHSM can be found on the website.
It is preferable that you are currently working in the health or aged care sector. Applicants may be asked to outline their management responsibilities.
Professional Contributions:
You may need to provide evidence of contribution to the health sector by publications in recent relevant journals. You may also include experience such as an ACHS surveyor or an aged care surveyor, holding a position on an ACHSM Branch Council or other professional college, conference presentations, consultancies, published reports, project reports and major reviews.
